Connect your agent
Two steps. Give your agent the SecondPage skill, then connect it to your account.
It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini, Muse, Cursor, and any agent that supports custom MCP servers. Setup takes about two minutes.
Give it the skill
The skill is one Markdown file that teaches your agent how to publish and revise Pages.
- Download the skill file.
- Drag
skill.mdinto a chat with your agent. - Send it with this prompt:
Install the attached skill.md as a skill. Then connect me to SecondPage at https://mcp.secondpage.cc/mcp: show me where to add it as a custom connector in this app, and after I sign in, list my Pages to confirm it works.
Connect it to your account
One address links your agent to your SecondPage account. Pick your app for its exact steps.
- Open Claude with SecondPage filled in.
- Click Add, then Connect. Sign in, choose your organization, and allow access. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds it once for everyone.
- Open ChatGPT's connector settings.
- Turn on Developer mode under Advanced settings, click Create, paste this URL, and choose OAuth:Needs a paid plan. For Codex, run
https://mcp.secondpage.cc/mcp
codex mcp add secondpage --url https://mcp.secondpage.cc/mcp
- Open Gemini's connector settings.
- Open Settings, then Connected Apps, and click Add a custom app. Paste this URL, then sign in:Custom apps need a personal Google account in the US.
https://mcp.secondpage.cc/mcp
- Send Muse this message. Open Muse
Create a Custom Connector for a new remote MCP server, then connect to it. Name: SecondPage. Transport: remote streamable HTTP. URL: https://mcp.secondpage.cc/mcp. Auth: OAuth, sign in when prompted.
- Open the sign-in link Muse shows you. Sign in, choose your organization, and allow access.
- Open Cursor with SecondPage filled in.
- Click Install in Cursor, then Connect. Sign in, choose your organization, and allow access.
Never paste a password or an access token into a conversation. Signing in happens in your app, not in the chat.
Check it worked
Ask your agent to list your Pages. An empty list also means it worked, so there is no need to publish a test Page. Then ask for something real: "Publish to SecondPage."
If your app can't sign in with OAuth, use an API key instead. The MCP reference has the technical details.
Save the skill in your app
Attaching skill.md to a chat works everywhere. Saving it as a skill means
you don't attach it again. Your client decides whether attachments carry over
to later conversations.
- Claude: Rename the file
SKILL.md, put it in apublishing-with-secondpagefolder, and ZIP that folder. In Customize > Skills, choose + > Create skill > Upload a skill, upload the ZIP, and enable it. Claude skill guide (opens in a new tab). - Codex: Give Codex the downloaded file's local path and ask it to install a
copy at
~/.agents/skills/publishing-with-secondpage/SKILL.md. Then ask it to use thepublishing-with-secondpageskill. Codex skill guide (opens in a new tab). - Gemini: Choose Add files > Upload files and select
skill.md. If Markdown is rejected, paste the text into your conversation. This gives Gemini the instructions for that chat, not a saved skill. Gemini file guide (opens in a new tab). - Other agents: Attach the file if your agent supports it, or paste its contents and ask the agent to follow them.
A file on its own does not give your agent access to your account. Connecting it, the second step above, does that.
Keep the instructions current
The agent calls load_secondpage_skill with topic: "core" before authoring.
An installed skill can pass its metadata.version as installed_version to
check freshness. Download the current file again when updating an installed copy.
Files for agents
- agents.md is a short orientation for agents
that are not connected yet: what SecondPage is and how to get a person signed
up and connected.
skill.mdremains the complete instructions. - llms-full.txt has both in one file, and llms.txt points to them and these docs.
- The agent discovery sitemap lists the canonical entry points, and integrations can read the versioned JSON bundle.
