Audit Log And Trash¶
Audit helps organization managers review events. Trash gives every member a private place to recover collection changes.
Audit Log¶
Use Settings → Audit log to review organization events, newest first. The log shows fifty events per page; use View older events to page back and Back to newest events to return. Filter by actor type (user, agent, or system) to focus on who or what made the change.
Use the audit log when you need to understand what changed, who or what changed it, and when it happened.
Trash¶
Trash mixes three item types in one recovery list:
| Type | What removal does | What permanent cleanup does |
|---|---|---|
| Owned Page | Unpublishes the Page for everyone. | Permanently deletes the source Page through the guarded deletion path. |
| Shared Page | Removes it only from your My Pages collection. | Keeps the source and your existing access, but permanently dismisses it from My Pages. |
| Shortcut | Removes your live shortcut. | Deletes only the shortcut. |
All three types can be restored for 30 days unless you empty Trash sooner. If access to a shared Page is revoked, that item disappears from Trash and cannot be restored.
Emptying Trash may leave an owned Page behind when a safety check prevents permanent deletion. Safe shared-Page and shortcut cleanup can still finish.
Use Move to Trash only for a Page you own. For other items, use Remove from My Pages or Remove shortcut. Those actions do not delete somebody else's Page or revoke existing access.
